Acadian Museum and Archives The basis for the collections of the Centre de Recherche, housed at the Musèe Acadien in West Pubnico, was collected by Père Clarence-Joseph d'Entremont. Père d'Entremont was a local historian, author, and in 1992 was presented with the Order of Canada. For many years Père d'Entremont stated that he wanted his collection of documents, research papers, and library books to remain in his native home, West Pubnico, Nova Scotia. In 1998 Rev. d'Entremont gave his entire collection to the Musèe Acadien. His collection is housed in the newly named "Centre de Recherche Père Clarence d'Entremont."
