National Archival Development Program (NADP) 2010 - 2011
This is the fifth year of a five year federal investment funding program
for archives. Application forms, Program Guidelines and Adjudication Score
Sheets are available on the Financial

page of the Canadian Council of Archives website.
Program Summary:
- CNSA institutional membership
required to apply.
- Proposed projects must connect to one of five NADP
Objectives.
- Funding for arranging and describing archival materials
so they can be added to ArchWay and ArchivesCanada.
- Funding for preservation management activities, in
this order: first a global site assessment, then actions recommended
by the assessment, then holdings condition assessment, then item-level
treatment of records at risk.
- Funding for arranging and describing archival records
created by or about First Nations peoples or other under-represented
ethno-cultural groups (i.e. not Acadian, Gaelic, African or English).
- Funding for promoting greater awareness of the importance
of archival heritage and encouraging greater use of archives (public
relations events, advertising campaigns).
- You must match the funds you request with cash and/or
in-kind contributions.
- Volunteer-run archives do not have to match the funds
requested.
- Requires a Final Report on the results achieved,
due 30 days after project completion. An Interim Report is also required
if project is over $5,000.
- Application forms for 2010-2011 fiscal year are
available on the CCA website

- December 9, 2009 at 4:00 pm is the deadline
for applications. Electronic versions should be sent to: advisor@councilofnsarchives.ca and the signed original sent to the CNSA Office.
- Successful applicants will be notified by the CCA.
- Contact the
Archives Advisor for help in devising projects or completing the
application forms.
